management of over 50 ocean going ships belonging to many principals world wide,like NOS Ship Management
Pvt Ltd Singapore, Act Integrated Services Pvt Ltd, Far Eastern Lines Pvt Ltd, Sea
Union Sl Pvt Ltd, Sutan Nazaar Services Pvt Ltd, Maldives National Shipping Ltd, are few to name.
CSL provides Crewing, Technical Management, Supervision, Ship Chandelling, Steamer Agency and Consultancy
services to ship owners.
This business was first started in 2000, for the purpose of managing ships for our Singapore Principals as well as other
ship owners.
Since then CSL has achieved recognition in the industry, CSL has a Quality Management System in compliance with
ISO 9001-2008 norms and Standards. Our management services are flexible, competitive and cover the complete
spectrum of human resource management for the ship owners.
History
Having been established in Minicoy Island of the Union Territory of Lakshadweep, India, Minicoy Crews are known
sailors form 1930 onwards. In 2000, a team of ship management professionals formed CSL to tap the advantage of these
sailors in order to provide quality seafarers to our principals who where closely acquainted to the team and where
constantly asking for the sailors from Minicoy Island for their vessels. From then on CSL played a positive role for the
commercial success of our principals and proved herself growing into one of the most established and premier ship
management companies in Asia. CSL has easy access to the expert and well experienced sea farers particularly from the
natives of Minicoy who are universally well known for their strong mind set in executing every work assigned to them
sincerely and efficiently in merchant shipping.
Now CSL concentrates to meet the ever increasing demands of shipping in general and in shipping & Marine personnel
in particular. Our data bank is very exhaustive containing the details of everything and everybody related to shipping
industry and is able to provide Officers and Crews at short notice; of course , all in compliance with STCW 95
requirements for any kind of vessel such as Tankers, Crude oils, Chemical, LNG-LPG, Dry Cargo, Tugs, Barges and
containers. Our lean organization & management gives us the flexibility to respond quickly to customer needs and to
market conditions.
Our quality services and professionalism soon attracted the attention of other ship owners who wanted to tap on our solid
track record in ship management. Besides ship management, CSL has diversified into other businesses, such as ship
chandelling, bunkering operation, Technical Management, Supervision, Steamer Agency and Consultancy services to
ship owners.
The role of a CSL as a ship manager

CSL as a ship manager not only staff and operate a ship but our role is to
ensure that the ship complies with flag, class, safety & environmental
regulations, amongst others. In addition, the ship manager also liaises with
cargo operators and maintains the vessel's operational readiness, as well as
the physical and psychological welfare of the crew. We at CSL are constantly looking
for opportunity to improve ourselves, constantly challenging existing paradigms,
we continue to earn the trust and respect of existing Owners and like-minded
third party ship owners who expect constant and valued performance and
experienced teams to support their growing shipping ventures.

CSL can provide Owners with a first class
Officers and crews who are well aware of the requirements and workings of
the vessel they are sailing on. CSL undertake hiring and training of the crew and ensure that they comply with STCW
certification. As part of the selection process, CSL closely examines not only the qualification of the individual seafarer
but also his experience, skills, commitment and motivation.
All personal employed for seagoing services are trained and qualified according to the requirements detailed on the
STCW. Besides meeting recognized international requirements for medical fitness, CSL has its own Drug and Alcohol
policy requirements which are strictly adhered to.
